Experimental Dancehall Class

Dancehall music born 1970 in Jamaica with some reggae and skanker influences but in the 1980s Bogle aka Mr wacky (Father Dancehall) started creating Dancehall steps. Dancehall began as a space where people gathered to share, it was a protest for Jamaicans through Art. Dancehall evolution has been depending on the time and the music. Some commercial artists are Sean Paul, Shaggy who brought the Dancehall name to different international countries but their origins began with Elepahnt Man, Voicemal, Ding Dong, RDX The roots of the Dancehall are OLD SCHOOL, MIDDLE SCHOOL, NEW SCHOOL and Female Dancehall this is a special style that only women can perform according to the Jamaican culture It is a dance style that uses a lot of leg flexing. Everything is danced very low, like in squats. This will allow us to strengthen the leg and glute muscles. It is a very dynamic dance that will help us raise our mood. With this dance discipline we will also work the abs a lot, and of course it will also allow us to burn calories
